HI FIBE developed by Hill Brothers Chemical Company, specially formulated fiber fillers that used as an asbestos replacement. Because of its fibrillated structure, HI FIBE functions to increase viscosity and to improve slump and crack resistance in oil and water based systems. It is chemically inert, with excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, bleaches, solvents, mildew and sunlight. HI FIBE is an exceptionally uniform product which will not separate during mixing and is formulated for ease of dispersion. HI FIBE offers the advantages of good dispersibility, wet and dry slump resistance, very low shrinkage upon drying, and airless spraying. HI FIBE products have a high degree of water and oil absorbency, and in our 900 series, is heat resistant and offers a high tensile strength.
